講座内容
この講座は、教育、伝統、歴史、社会などのテーマから、トレンドの話題について日本と諸外国を比較していきます。We will discuss how Japan faces various issues or problems, compared to other cultures. We will choose our topics together as a class, and then your homework will be to read the short article I have found on that topic, and to tell the class your opinion or reaction. Each person will speak for a short time (3 minutes or so, or less), and then we will have more time for further free discussion, at the end of the class. In the past, our topics have included: renewable energy, changing gender roles, AI, and travel stories and tips.

坂西 エリザベス
（麗澤オープンカレッジ講師） -
Beth Sakanishi is from New York and got her M.A. in English literature from the University of Washington. In Japan, she has taught at many places, including Temple University Japan, Tsuda International Training Center and Reitaku University. She has taught a variety of subjects: speech, debate, writing, history, and cross cultural issues to university students, business people, doctors and those who are interested in working for NGO's and the U.N. 米ニューヨーク州出身。ワシントン大学(シアトル)英文学修士。日本における英語講師歴はテンプル大学、津田国際研修センター、麗澤大学等、多数。大学生、社会人、医師、NGO・国連職員志望者を対象に、スピーチ、ライティング、歴史、異文化問題等、幅広い科目を担当。
